Church leadership
If you ever get the opportunity to pray for a church leader, it is a chance to bless not only the leader but also their family. People who minister to others often also sacrifice time with their loved ones, so let’s not forget to bless their families and homes too.

Hebrews 13:17 ESV Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. Let them do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be of no advantage to you.
A prayer for a church leader
“Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you for this leader’s life and the impact it has had on so many people in our community. Thank you for the years of grooming and pruning him/her for a fruitful life today.
Father, you see how much he/she has been faithful, and we ask that you continue to increase his/her faith and intimacy with You and You alone above all. May he/she soak in Your love and simply enjoy being Your son/daughter, not buffeted by the opinion of others but only caring what You think.
Remind him/her that You are pleased with us, regardless of the size of our ministries, when we choose to honour Your first in every area of our lives.
Proverbs 3:6 ESV In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
Thank you for his/her family and their understanding of his/her ministry. Please provide opportunities for deep family bonding times and good communications so there are no miscommunications or failure in communications. Thank you that You promised to provide all that we need, according to your riches in heaven.
Philippians 4:19 ESV And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Please fill his/her home with all types of riches, especially the ones that money cannot buy. Restore his/her body and spirit at all times, calling him/her to rest in You and know that You are God over everything and everyone.
Please provide many opportunities for him/her to receive love and care from a body of god-fearing Christians, where he/she has given to others so much over the years.
Thank you for providing everything needed for him/her to walk through difficult times. Please keep him/her from temptations and continue to provide a way out.
1 Corinthians 10:13 ESV No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
May you continue to grow this leader spiritually, so as to fit into the large armour of God that you have prepared for him/her. May his/her footsteps always be those of one bringing peace and hope, even into the marketplace, home or society. Anoint his/her lips so that everything he/she says is like a fragrance to other people but most of all, to You.
In Jesus’ name, we ask all this, amen!”
